Brussels Diplomatic Academy programmes transferred to BSoG

The activities and programmes of the Brussels Diplomatic Academy (BDA) have been transferred within Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) to the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG).

Students currently enrolled in a BDA programme will be able to continue and complete their studies. Further practical information will be communicated directly to students as soon as it becomes available.

For questions about this transition, please contact bda@vub.be.

Important information for applicants requiring a student visa

The application deadline for this programme is 31 August 2026, and the programme starts in September 2026.

The time it takes to obtain a student visa may vary from one to several months, depending on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s age and country of origin. Applicants who require a student visa are therefore strongly encouraged to submit their programme application as early as possible and to apply for their visa as soon as they are accepted into the programme.

Depending on individual circumstances and visa processing times, applications submitted in the months leading up to the start of the programme may not allow sufficient time to complete the visa and enrolment procedures before the start of the programme in September 2026.

Applicants are advised to wait until their student visa has been granted before signing the study contract.

EEA or non-EEA citizens (with a valid residence permit from any EEA country) who hold a diploma from a Belgian higher education institution that qualifies them for admission to this programme, may apply until 23 September (23:59 in the CEST time zone at the latest). Please note, however, that the programme starts in September and that we therefore advise against submitting your application beyond the programme’s starting date.
