This presentation will address Diplomatic Law, with particular focus on the diplomatic immunities thereunder. The differences between immunities for Country Missions (Sovereigns) and those for International Organisations will be explained, as well as the differences between Immunity from Jurisdiction and Immunity from Execution. Other topics of Diplomatic Law will be addressed in an ad hoc Q&A style, where participants can share questions and/or comments. The speaker is a very skilled lawyer in this field, whose practice has refined Brussels’ jurisprudence field. He is managing partner of Billiet & Co law firm, Director and co-Founder of the Diplomatic World Institute, Director of the Institute for Erasmus Peace Solutions, Lecturer at the Brussels Diplomatic Academy and Liaison Officer at the House of Diplomacy.
