Shanghai Center for Global Trade and Economic Governance (SC-GTEG)

Prof. Lei ZHANG is one of the WTO Chair Holders selected by the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Dean of the School of WTO Research and Education of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE), the Director of Shanghai Center for Global Trade and Economics (SC-GTEG) and the Director of WTO Trade Policy Review Center. He earned an LLM. in IP (WIPO-ILO-Turin University) in 2011 and, in 2000, a doctoral degree in Industrial Economics at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics where he also completed his postdoctoral program in 2003. He was once the visiting scholars at the WTO Secretariat, Harvard University, University of Lausanne and Law School of Georgetown University. He has been appointed as WIPO arbitrator, UNCTAD Virtual Institute coordinator, Asia-Pacific Research and Training Network on Trade (ARTNeT) liansons, member and judge of permanent academic committee of European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Moot, and Intellectual Property Rights Expert of the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China.
