Short bio:
Professor Joseph Tanega holds three professorships in law and finance at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business, Grenoble Ecole de Management, Alma Graduate School, University of Bologna, and King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. He is the author of fifteen books in the areas of financial law, risk management, financial derivatives, project finance law, and fifty-four major articles or chapters on securitization, bankruptcy, money market funds, taxation, corporate governance, ethics and Islamic Finance. He has consulted for a wide range of public and private organisations, including major financial institutions in the UK, US and Europe, and the European Commission where he was the lead project finance consultant to the Russian Nuclear Ministry. He is currently Reader in International Finance Law at the University of Westminster, School of Law, where he is Course Director of the LLM Corporate Finance Law. He lectures Legal Aspects of International Finance and International Corporate Governance, and supervises Masters and PhD candidates in securities regulations, capital markets law, bankruptcy and Islamic Finance.
