Short biography:
Jean-Philippe Van West is a Professor of Tax Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Senior Counsel in International Tax at PwC Belgium. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2019 from the Vienna University of Economics and Business with a doctoral dissertation on Article 29(8) of the OECD Model Convention. His research and professional practice focus on the taxation of multinational enterprises in international and European contexts, as well as the tax implications for mobile individuals. He regularly publishes in academic and professional journals and is a frequent speaker at international conferences.
