Biography:
Delia Barbu has a linguistic background and extensive experience in event management, academic administration, and international relations.
She began her career at the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA), where she further developed her expertise in event organisation, project coordination and stakeholder management. Over a period of ten years, she planned and delivered a broad range of events across diverse professional sectors, gaining valuable experience in managing complex projects and international audiences.
In 2008, Delia joined the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), taking on a managerial position within the International Relations & Mobility Office.After four years, she took on a new challenge at the Brussels Diplomatic Academy (BDA) within the same university. In this established role she continues to contribute to the Academy’s activities and facilitates its engagement with the diplomatic, academic and international communities.
