Short Bio
As a field expert in Public Procurement conducting public purchases on behalf of Contracting Authorities in Europe operating in the utilities sector and assisting with tender bids in the USA, UK, Australia and Canada, Beau Burriola’s lecturing approach focuses on hands-on, practical examples and use cases in all lessons and assignments. Beau draws on a career of 27 years as an international buyer covering a wide array of purchasing subjects with a particular specialisation in logistics, Information Technology and Nearshore Services. With training and certification from the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht and more than fifty published selections, he has wide experience with purchasing rules and frameworks but still relies on a wide network of public administration buyers, many who join as guest speakers in his class.
Through his company, Procurement Europe, he helps exclusively Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to bid for the first time on public tenders through customised training, helping break the stranglehold of huge companies winning every public contract and making public procurement available to all. He joins BDA with a mission to show students that with the right information, anybody can participate in the public marketplace.
