This event is one in a three-part series examining the war in Ukraine and its implications not only for Ukraine, Europe, NATO and its allies, but for the world. The conversation will examine the effects of sanctions on the global economy, trade and value chains in the wake of this latest event in a series of crises. Wide ranging effects on European businesses will be analyzed including the EU New Green Deal and implications for multilateral institutions like the WTO, the UN and others. What prospects are there for the upcoming WTO MC12 in June? Is the world facing a failure of globalization? What trends are discernable? The demise of the liberal world order? A bifurcation of world systems between the West and the Others in which the majority of the world’s people live? After the dust settles what can we expect for EU membership, an Economic NATO: TTIP+? What will be the implications for trade and the world in which we live? These and other questions speak to the heart of this conversation. Join us!
