Prof. Dr. Kim Van der Borght, BDA Chair of Asia-Pacific Studies, has described how companies are starting to withdraw from doing business with Iran or are postponing their activities, following the US decision to withdraw from the JCPOA. According to Van der Borght, these actions reflect the reality that there are no effective measures available for companies who may get caught up in US sanctions legislation.
The interview (in Dutch) can be found here. (Van der Borght’s contribution starts at 1m28).
Registration is still possible for the BDA training in Sanctions and Export Control at the end of May, further information available here.
