Short bio:

Prof. Dr. Kim Willems is a tenure track professor with expertise in retail design and differentiation strategies. She supervises two PhD students: one PhD on ‘Digitally augmenting the traditional in-store shopping experience with innovative retail technologies: A consumer- and retailer perspective’ and one PhD on ‘Addressing the forgotten senses in online retailing: A consumer and retailer perspective’. She is co-promotor of two other VUB PhD students and member of the steering committee of 4 VUB PhD students. She conducts research on retail marketing and consumer behavior, in collaboration with an international and interdisciplinary research group consisting of marketing-, HCI-, and psychology scholars. She has published some of her research in Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, The International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, European Retail Research, and Urban Forestry & Urban Greening.
