Short bio:

Freddy Van den Spiegel is Professor at VUB and Vlerick Business School and Economic Advisor for several European institutions such as the European Banking Federation and the Federation of European Asset Managers. He is a well-known presenter at many international conferences.

From 2000 until 2011, he was Chief economist of BNP Paribas Fortis and in charge of the European Affairs department. Before, he was Managing Director of Fortis Investments.
