Short bio:

Prof. Dr. Bin Li is a Doctor of Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, Professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (2005-2012) and Professor at the Law School of Beijing Normal University. His doctoral thesis deals with the protection of property rights in China. Graduated in Master of International Law at Nankai University (Tianjin, China), LI Bin works in the broad field of international law, including in particular the international law of human rights, international economic law, etc. Further research around such topics as the transformation of Chinese law on private property, the interactions between Chinese law and international law, the author has conducted theoretical and empirical comparison of legal cultures, working with colleagues from different European countries and America. Bin Li is currently an associate researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Justice (Institut des Hautes Etudes sur la Justice, IHEJ) and the Centre for Study and Research in International Law at the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (CERDIN). Bin Li is the author of the books Légitimité, légalité et effectivité : la protection de la propriété en Chine (tome 1), l’Harmattan, Paris (2011) and Entre droit humain et droit du commerce : La protection de la propriété en Chine (tome 2), l’Harmattan, Paris (2011). He is one of the co-authors of the book Droit chinois des affaires, Editions Lacier (2013) and the ebook Le procès civil en version originale. Cultures judiciaires comparées: France, Chine, Etats-Unis, Lexis Nexis (France, 2014).
