Master Class on Project Management
Project Management (PM) is accepted as a tool that contributes to reaching the objectives of the organisation.
Furthermore Project Management allows us to organize our daily work on a project management base.
The master class is aimed at all who work on projects and those who want to change daily routine work by applying project management techniques.
Project management is in many cases linked to a change process that will support the objectives of the organization. Understanding the stakeholders in a change process will contribute to the success of the Project Management. Focus on the soft skills as it is all about people management.

Dr. Patrick Uyttendaele MBA, Ph.D at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
As a professor, Patrick Uyttendaele is teaching Multinational Corporate Investment and Project Management at the Free University of Brussels and is also lecturer at Brussels Institute of Contemporary China Studies. He is also teaching Research Methodology at ITTMA-UA.
Patrick has been with PLI, PwC, PwCC and IBM Business Consulting for 32 years and built up a substantial and global network of contacts in the port, maritime and logistics industry. Patrick developed major expertise, scientific and technical skills and information in the ports and maritime industry related to strategy, market, restructuring, privatization, project management and corporate finance.
Patrick joined, on January 2007, as a Director, Maritime & Transport Business Solutions and as such offers his services worldwide as an expert in the field of financial feasibility studies and project advise with regards to investments in infrastructure and supra-structures, including financing structures, transactions, logistics aspects and macro-economic analysis.
This training will provide to participants:

-Understanding of the PM knowledge areas
-Understanding of the PM processes
-Good practice fundamentals of PM
-Enthousiasm and drive
By the end of the master class, the participants should be able to:
-Define a project and the project life cycle
-Explain PM and its importance
-Explain the constraints that effect projects
-Apply PM skills, tools and techniques to protect activities to meet the project requirement
-Attain high standards for project excellence
-Understand the role of the project manager and the team members role in a project
The working language of the course will be English.
Participants to the course will receive a certificate of attendance from the Brussels Diplomatic Academy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
TIMING AND LOCATION
Dates: 7 November 2017, from 10.00 to 17.00.
Location: Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Pleinlaan 5, Meeting room ‘Bruges’, level -1. It is building number 5 on the campus plan that can be downloaded at http://www.vub.ac.be/english/infoabout/campuses/etterbeek.html.

Free parking facilities are available on the campus on the other side of the building. A bar code gives access to the campus via campus entry 13 (see the red arrows on the campus plan). The scanner for the bar code is situated under the intercom. A few days before the start of the event, participants will receive a bar code giving access to the parking.
METHOD OF PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION
Fees: The course fee is 750 EUR.
– 15% reduction for BDA individual members
– 25% reduction for BDA silver or golden members
VAT Settlement: exempted from VAT: Art 44 § 2, 4° of the VAT code.
The above prices include the registration fee and all material relating to the master class on ‘Project Management’, as well as the lunch and the coffee breaks for the duration of the event.
Hotel accommodation is not included in the registration fees.
