The Japanese economy – the third largest economy in the world – grew at a quicker rate in the first quarter of 2017 than in the preceding ten years. This should come as no surprise as consumer confidence has slowly returned and higher government spending and private sector investment have incited further growth.
A stronger than expected economic expansion, a return of consumer confidence and a historically low interest rate are the ingredients for continuing economic growth and trust in the future. And they also provide for new opportunities in the land of the rising sun, across a range of sectors: biotech and pharma, food, nanotechnology, ICT and automotive engineering.
In order to find out what’s possible, and where the best opportunities lie, the Brussels Diplomatic Academy of the VUB, Voka Metropolitan and Voka Vlaams-Brabant are organising an Ambassador Lunch.
The Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Hajime Hayashi, will tell you everything you need to know about the Japanese market and the commercial and investment opportunities it offers your company.
